All 297 rooms are decorated in an attractive tropical style. Superior Garden Rooms open onto a courtyard garden while the rest have a private balcony or terrace with garden or sea views. In-room amenities include air conditioning, a flat screen TV, complimentary WiFi, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. We recommend upgrading to one of the Deluxe Beach Rooms which are particularly spacious and close to the beach. Or, if you’re looking for peace and tranquillity, opt for one of the Superior Rooms in the quieter South wing of the resort.
There are three restaurants spanning a world of flavours. Indigo serves Indian, Chinese and Creole cuisine in a relaxed tropical setting, while Dolce Vita is a trattoria-style Italian restaurant, and La Plage mixes up Mediterranean and Mauritian cuisine in a seafront, feet-in-the-sand setting. There is also a beach and pool menu featuring salads, wraps and light bites. The Coral pool bar is the place for chilled drinks during the day, and the H&H Lounge takes you through to the evening, with Shakers nightclub open until 1:45am for the real night owls.
There are two pools fronting onto the dazzling beach, and a spa with four treatment rooms, two outdoor gazebos, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. There is also a fitness centre, classes in yoga and Tai chi, and complimentary land and watersports including beach volleyball, tennis, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing and paddleboarding. Activities available at an additional charge include scuba diving, big game fishing, tennis lessons and bicycle rental. Ambre guests also enjoy preferential access to the Île aux Cerfs golf course, one of the best in Mauritius.
