Each of the 103 air-conditioned thatched water or beach bungalows and villas offers beautiful teak furnishings, an impressive outdoor living space and luxurious amenities including satellite TV, DVD/CD player, WiFi access, refrigerated private bar and tea/coffee maker. All Beach categories have their own private pool and a combined spacious bedroom and living area, while the Beach Villas with Pool and one and two bedroom Family Beach Villas with Pool have a larger pool and additional outdoor space, including a partially open air living/dining area. Water Villas can be sunrise or sunset and either feature a rooftop sundeck and glass fronted living and bedroom areas for spectacular views, or your own plunge pool. We particularly like the Two Bedroom Land and Ocean Suite, with its magnificent central pool with loungers and over-water hammocks, two separate over-water bedroom pavilions and sublime panoramic ocean views.
There are 4 restaurants offering every cuisine imaginable. Sample wonderful Lebanese and Moroccan dishes at Al Barakat, enjoy impressive Asian cuisine including teppanyaki at Café Landaa and don’t miss the contemporary Italian specialities at Blu. There are also 4 bars, including Seabar, where you can laze on cushions perched above the lagoon.
The 5 Star PADI IDC Centre offers an incredible insight into the surrounding UNESCO waters and local manta hotspots. The Resort also boasts the country’s best water sports such as X-Jetblades, kitesurfing and Seabobs. There are three pools, including one with a swim-up bar and the only Olympic-size pool in the Maldives, plus a health club, tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball, dolphin and sunset cruises. Guests can also experience the unique Yoga Energy Trail, Manta on Call excursions, Overwater Wedding Pavilion and bespoke Kids’ Club programmes like Passport to Adventure and Mission: Landaa Giraavaru. Great for families, spacious Family Beach Villas include a separate room for kids or teens, and the resort’s amazing coral garden provides a perfect, child-friendly introduction to snorkelling. Children aged 8 yrs and upwards can even learn to dive in the lagoon!
Visit the resort’s Marine Discovery Centre for a fascinating insight into conservation projects such as coral reefscaping and turtle rehabilitation, or join the resort’s manta ray researchers on their boat between June - October
