Here at Caribtours, we love looking at all the different ways in which hotels and resorts experiment with interiors; so we have put together a shortlist of our favourite picks for you:
Malliouhana Hotel & Spa, Anguilla
Malliouhana has recently been refurbished to a phenomenal standard, and the result is beautifully fresh and fun. Loud prints and rich textures, which when mixed with subtle marble and light textured wallpaper, blend to make a wonderful combination. A contemporary Caribbean aesthetic.
All the rooms now include brand new, state of the art technology; including a mirror which doubles as a television.
The interiors are an eclectic mixture, the designer drawing inspiration globally, and from different time eras. There is a strong reference to the 50s and 60s in the design.
Our favourite piece is the vibrant fruit print material wardrobe curtains.
Prices from £2,099 per person for 7 nights, including continental breakfast based on 2 adults sharing a Garden View Deluxe Room, including return flights, private transfers and use of a lounge at Gatwick.
Eden Rock is a legendary hotel; the first hotel to be built on the island of St. Barths. Our favourite part of the hotel is Villa Nina due to its exceptional interior. As you walk in, you are greeted by a collection of art which could rival any gallery.
The living spaces are large, boasting views out to the beautiful ocean. It is fun to explore and wander around the hotel as there is an extensive art collection, with many contemporary and upcoming artists represented along with drawings from the owners son from when we was a child.
The hotel has a home from home feel (although extremely luxurious). Each room has its own personality, each filled with beautiful objects collected throughout the Caribbean and beyond. Eden Rock has put a lot of thought into their design, and really offers something to suit every guest’s tastes.
Prices from £3,099 per person for 7 nights, based on 2 adults sharing a Garden Cottage, including breakfast, return flights, private transfers and use of a lounge at Gatwick.
The interiors at Six Senses Laamu are stunning. The rooms are made with a pale wood resulting in a muted and calm interior, with a pop of colour from the cushions on the day bed; which are a jovial mix of bold colours. We are in love with the unique sinks here, each set into a travelling chest. The bathrooms are mostly outside, with a bath and a shower open to the elements so you can enjoy the sound of nature, if you prefer your own soundtrack they have Bose speakers hooked up to speakers outside!
Prices from £2,799 per person for 7 nights, including breakfast, based on 2 adults sharing a Lagoon Water Villa, including return flights, inter-island flights, speedboat transfers and use of a lounge at Heathrow.
Parrot Cay by COMO, Turks & Caicos
The interiors at Parrot Cay by COMO are exceptionally calming and serene. We particularly love the two-bedroom Beach Houses. A contemporary haven nestled between the sand dunes. With huge sliding glass doors you can see straight out to your very own large decking area with private pool. From your room you have uninterrupted views of the ocean, we particularly love the outdoor sofas here, the perfect spot to enjoy a sun-downer.
Prices from £1,889 per person for 7 nights, based on 2 adults sharing a Terrace Room, including breakfast, return flights, transfers and use of an airport lounge.
Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita
The interior design of the Sanctuary Beach Pool Villa at the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is contemporary yet extremely comfortable. The natural shades of white and blue mirror the ocean and the sand, which is only a few steps in front of your villa. We particularly love the daybed which is perfect spot for relaxing, there is also a romantic private area which can be used for al fresco dining.
