Shangri-La have reopened the already renowned Le Touessrok last year to bring their signature style and service to the shores of Mauritius for the first time. Sega Bar is a rum and Tiki bar located near the main pool and we think this is the perfect spot for pre dinner drinks. Their signature smoked rum is a must, local rum is infused with smokey flavours giving a taste sensation like no other. With brilliant live entertainment including African and cultural dances before live bands and jazz artists take to the stage.
At Safran you are welcomed to embark on a sensory journey to India with a Mauritian twist on the authentic Indian dishes. The brain child of internationally acclaimed Chef Ramesh Bundi, Safran mixes an array of popular flavours and spices and the finest local ingredients, all prepared with continental methods. Try dishes such as the Tandoori lobster infused with dried ginger, broccoli & black dal, sweet & sour rasam broth and crunchy chat chips. In addition to the a la carte menu, the restaurant offers set menus, including vegetarian options and a premium menu.
Overlooking the lagoon and Ilot Mangenie, Kushi is a specialized Japanese restaurant, with a master sushi chef and sushi bar, kobe and wagyu menus and an amazing selection of sake and cocktails. There is a built in grill at each table so guests can experience yakiniku which is a ‘Japanese BBQ’ cooked right on your table. If neither of these takes your fancy then there’s the traditional Omakase set menu offering chef’s specials that change daily depending on the fresh fish arrivals. Kuish is a great spot for lunch or dinner.
Republik on Frangipani islet, is a super cool Beach Club & Grill. The restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine and charcoal fired barbecue grills. Everything about this restaurant is trendy from the live music to the themed nights, they even collaborated with local artists to design the menus bringing unique Art & Food concept to the island. On Thursday and Friday nights they have fire dancers and other live entertainment including local artists and international DJs and once a month they have a Saturday night BBQ spit roast on the beach with a brilliant party atmosphere that is fun for all of the family.
