The fun never stops in Grenada with exciting events taking place year round, there is always something different to do when you visit the island. Here are two unmissable events in 2016...
Grenada Sailing week
When: 28 January - 2 February 2016
The up and coming Grenada sailing week is an event that offers something for all levels, with classes ranging from the very serious to the more relaxed; You don’t have to be a seasoned sailor to take part and you don’t even have to race to enjoy the atmosphere and parties. The stunning Grand Anse beach will be turned into the celebration hub during the event. As well as international sailing, there is also a race between the local boats and an array of great food and music throughout. The work boat regatta is stooped in history dating back decades; this is the only event on the calendar where fishermen and their boat builders can take their friendly rivalry out to sea and compete to win title of the fastest and the best.
Chocolate festival
When: 13 - 22 May 2016
The chocolate festival is perfect for chocoholics. Indulge yourself at The Grenada Chocolate Festival suitable for even the most qualified chocolate connoisseurs. Tickle your taste buds with delicious Grenadian organic and sustainable cocoa and chocolate. Learn the health benefits of cocoa on 14 May or experience the transformation from ‘tree to bar’ at Belmont Estate on 16 May. There will be pop up restaurants and fashion shows, plus plenty of chocolate delights and spa treatments.
Our advice would be to eat as much as you can while you are there to get your chocolate fix.
